Numerical analysis of hygrothermal effects on low-velocity impact contact force in S-glass/polyester composite plates
Abstract
This study investigates the influence of hygrothermal environments on the contact force of S-glass fiber-reinforced polyester composite plates subjected to low-velocity impact. Finite element modeling and Design of Experiments (DOE) approach were used for analysis. The study validates numerical results against experimental data for both aged and non-aged samples, addressing durability and impact response in adverse environments.
